About the Journal

The JBMTCT is an official electronic scientific publication of the Brazilian Society of Bone Marrow Transplantation (SBTMO), created in 2020, edited every three months and in compliance with a defined editorial policy. Aims to promote scientific development in Hematology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Cellular Therapy and related areas. 

Periodicity of the jornal:
Quarterly

Target audience: this journal is aimed to researchers, teachers, professionals and students with an interest in the medicine field (bone marrow transplantation and cell therapy) and related sciences.


Types of article

Publishes letter to the editor, unpublished articles, review articles, short communication, opinion articles, case reports, conduct protocols and research articles in progress / completed with the aim of spreading knowledge and innovative research in medicine fields, bone marrow transplantation, cell therapy and related sciences.

 

Plagiarism Policy

The editorial team at JBMTCT shows low tolerance for plagiarism. The plagiarism checking software, Turnitin,  is used to check the Similarity Index.

 

Peer Review Process

The evaluation process of this journal follows the principles of Double blind peer review. Manuscripts submitted with a view to publication in the JBMTCT  are initially evaluated by the editorial secretary for compliance with the journal's standards. Then, they will be forwarded to the Editor who will make a first evaluation. Subsequently, it will be forwarded, without identification of authorship, to a reviewer (which may be internal or external to the institution) for evaluation and issuance of a reasoned opinion (peer review). These opinions will be used by the editors to decide on the acceptance, or not, of the same. The identity of reviewers is also hidden from the authors.

 

Open access journal

This journal is a peer reviewed, subsidized open access journal where the Brazilian Society of Bone Marrow Transplantation (SBTMO) pays for the publishing costs incurred by the journal. Authors do not have to pay any Article Processing Charge or Open Access Publication Fee.

 

Access rights

All articles published open access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read, download, copy and distribute.

Author rights

For open access publishing, this journal uses a copyright transfer agreement. Authors will transfer copyright to the Brazilian Society of Bone Marrow Transplantation (SBTMO), but will have the right to share their article in the same ways permitted to third parties under the relevant user license, as well as certain scholarly usage rights.

The PKP Preservation Network (PN) provides free preservation services for any OJS journal.
